Renewal in Death

Release those facing shades
of change and abundance.
Revisions not seasonal, inevitable.
Those who stand tall effortlessly
swaying their goodbyes, casting
off those to be forgotten
or experienced by another kind.
A cycle made reality by the idea
of a weather thought inclement.
Ruthless, beautiful, and unintentionally
impactful to the internal. Moments past
left for reexamination, a belated study
of flowing streams and jarring realizations.
Enlightenment stirs across a population,
fresh, shrouding the known, embracing
the renewal in death.

Natural Disposition

Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To go with the drift of things,
To yield with a grace to reason,
And bow and accept the end
Of a love or a season?
