Honeymoon phase dissipation, exhausted

with every molecular exhale, trembling

internally, solid on surface as the fiber

friends we know, learning a cycles flow.

Resisting comfort to feel pulsating pain

sorrowful and alive, breach within purity.

Rotations cease to stall. Birthing, receding.

Clarity forms amongst absorbing realism,

creating solace amidst the death

and grace amid the minuscule.

Unsaid Immortality

No reply needed, precisely understood
as inanimate in the eyes of others
we speak, as silent as you are.
Unburdened gestures, a greeting, a place
to lean, appreciate, admire, and envy.
Vocal rhythms resonating through outer skin
penetrating ageless rings, never mattered
as we, one in the same, love and die
produce, beautify, and destroy.

Monongahela 8/29

Penetrating a reaching graze, growing
fluid crawl of a fog's first descent.
The air is silent, effortlessly navigable
through stems and needles afar
the aged flow, spotted barred owl
of generations' past combs renewal.

Iodine

Blinks of sweat blur confusion
of settlement. Pungent aroma
cloud the aura of the separate
Sulfuric cleansed, poise static
and luminous following the day's
lowered gleam fluttering into canvas
under hanging lights of times past.
Come in search of sea turtles drawing
a picture much greater than fathom
for this creature the momental clarity
is welcomed to its natural existence.
